The PUBG Esports scene is heating up with two back-to-back tournaments: PUBG Global Series 5 (PGS 5) and PUBG Global Series 6 (PGS 6). Both events will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, and offer a total prize pool of $600,000. These events are critical for teams aiming to secure their spot in the highly anticipated PUBG Global Championship 2024!

  • PGS 5: October 21st – 27th, 2024
  • PGS 6: November 4th – 10th, 2024

Structure and Format

Both tournaments will follow a similar structure consisting of a Group Stage and Final Stage, spread across three days for each phase:

  • Group Stage: Teams will be divided into three groups (A, B, and C), with each day featuring a mix of matches between the groups. Six matches will be held per day, with the top 16 teams advancing to the final stage, while the bottom 8 will be eliminated.
  • Final Stage: After a day of rest, the top 16 teams will face off over three days, battling in six matches per day. The team that tops the leaderboard at the end will be crowned the champion.

Map Rotation

Both PGS 5 and PGS 6 will include a mix of four iconic maps from the PUBG universe:

  • Erangel
  • Miramar
  • Taego
  • Rondo

Each day will feature matches across these maps, ensuring a dynamic and diverse gameplay experience.

Participating Teams

A total of 24 teams will compete in each tournament, including 10 Global Partner Teams and 14 Regional Series qualifiers. The final team list will be confirmed after the ongoing Regional Series concludes. Some of the key participating teams include:

  • Global Partner Teams: Soniqs, FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, CERBERUS Esports, Daytrade Gaming, Natus Vincere, Gen.G Esports, Four Angry Men, and more.
  • Regional Series Teams: Teams from the PUBG Americas Series, PUBG EMEA Championship, PGS APAC Qualifier, PUBG Champions League, and PUBG Weekly Series will compete for glory.

Prize Pool Distribution

Each PUBG Global Series tournament boasts a $300,000 prize pool, distributed based on final standings:

  • 1st Place: $100,000
  • 2nd Place: $40,000
  • 3rd Place: $20,000
  • Other positions receive descending amounts, with the 24th place taking home $1,000.

PGS Points for the PUBG Global Championship 2024

Both PGS 5 and PGS 6 offer teams their final opportunity to secure crucial PGS points for a spot in the PUBG Global Championship 2024. The points awarded are as follows:

  • 1st Place: 300 points
  • 2nd Place: 180 points
  • 3rd Place: 120 points
  • Lower places earn fewer points, with no points awarded to teams finishing between 17th and 24th places.
