Apple unveiled the AirPods 4 at its “It’s Glowtime” event on Monday, introducing several new enhancements to the popular audio device. The latest AirPods bring Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to the base model for the first time, alongside advanced features such as machine learning and gesture control. The Cupertino-based tech giant also upgraded the AirPods Max, switching from the proprietary Lightning port to USB Type-C, and launched new color options for the over-the-ear headphones.

The AirPods 4 will be available in two variants: one with ANC and one without. The model without ANC is priced at Rs. 12,900, while the AirPods 4 with ANC costs Rs. 17,900. Customers can pre-order starting today, and sales will officially begin on September 20.

The new AirPods 4 offer a host of advanced features, including:
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Previously limited to the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, ANC is now available on the base AirPods, alongside a transparency mode for ambient sound awareness.

- USB Type-C Charging Case: The charging case now features USB Type-C and supports wireless charging, offering a total playtime of up to 30 hours.
AirPods Max: New Colour Options
Alongside the AirPods 4, Apple also introduced new color options for its high-end AirPods Max. The over-the-ear headphones are now available in Blue, Midnight, and Starlight colorways. The AirPods Max continue to support features like personalised spatial audio and remain a flagship choice for audiophiles.
Upgrades to AirPods Pro (2nd Generation)
Apple has also upgraded the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with new health-centric features. These now include an in-built hearing test feature that allows users to test their hearing directly from the earbuds. The AirPods Pro also support hearing aid functionality with a new Noise app, and users can set up personalised hearing profiles to cater to their individual needs.
